Messing around with powers beyond my comprehension

I'm still tangling with the CSS, but at least now I managed to slap a visible logo on the site.
You'll notice the logo is different for the archives comics. Just my little sprinkle of variety, whoop-dee.

Also, an extra update on monday, because I'm feeling so senselessly generous :)

Also because I don't wanna post a page to finish a story and a front-page next week, but rather a front-page and a page to begin a story. I'm weird like that.

See Ess Ess

EDIT:
I've had to remove the Java-Script from the fanart-page (it wasn't working anymore, for some reason), so it's gone back to a table-based system. I've also fixed the archived pages so that the stylesheet actually applies.
*phew* Looks like the page finally has a design.
-----------------------------

Gah! FINALLY I managed this CSS-stuff.

Here ya go. New page-layout for Artist's Block. Not at all a mildly modified Dreamweaver MX 2004 CSS template, no siree.

Anyway, I'm working out the last details right now, but it should all be functional by tomorrow's end.

Moseyin' on!

I'm still ahead with the art. It's a beautiful feeling.

Have a preview!

And the Oscar goes to...

*TA-DAAA!*

ZypressQ! With a groovey Riddler-green colouring of Philosophy, she has won my little contest and now has a permanent place in my "Credits"-section and in my fanart-gallery. Plus, it is her colouring that now features on the "cover-page" of this next story: "Changes in their cages". Imaginary cookies to whoever can figure out where that phrase is from :)

Also, things have now been brought in order and updated. At least they should be in order. If not, I'll fix it when I find it.

Stupid HTML.

Ok, so here's the plan.

Yes, I've found a winner of my little contest. No, I'm not going to announce it yet.

I'm finally in control of computer and internet, and I'll be fixing this whole mess up shortly.
What I'll do is keep the page that has been uploaded uploaded. That is, I'll call it a short "prologue" to the next short-story and move it so it is "officially" saturday's update. The "front-page" with the winning colouring willl be uploaded as sunday's comic.

Hang tight while I fix this "#%#

I will have this fixed later today, please hang tight while I curse some more so it'll all magically fix itself.

Lack of update

... There is no update. Why is there no update?
I'm as stumped as you. I'm guessing ComicGen must have FTP-problems, but I can't be sure. It might be I've mis-named the files used to update the site so it thinks they aren't due for an update 'till 2007 or something...
I can't check it right now, because I'm very much out of an FTP-program. If I've mis-named, I'll have it fixed by Monday afternoon at the latest.
Let's hope it's just ComicGen. That would leave me pristinely blameless and in a beautiful position to whine about how instability is really breaking my artistic flow and I need a multi-million dollar compensation.

Messin' about

I've been messing around with a redesign of the site. I want to use some style-sheet goodness, but things seem very intent on sabotaging it for me.

I'll update as things progress.

More site-tweakery

Two new sections are added to the site, complete with content: Credits and Links.

"Credits" contains links to and short texts on the people who have contributed to Artist's Block over the ages. So far, it's got one person listed, but it's about to be expanded. That contest I mentioned last newspost is still going, you know. That's right, if you colour Philosophy, not only do you get an original piece of art from me, you also get permanent mention in the new "Credits"-section and you get to see your art in an update of Artist's Block :)
There is a link to the lineart you must colour in the Fanart-gallery. Go there! Go there now! Time is a-wasting, for deadline is May 20th.

The other new section,"Links", contains links. Duh. And a banner you can use if for some reason or other you want to link to this particular corner of the internet :)

I've put up links to four sites I feel are very much worth your time. Go look :)

Fanart and a contest

UPDATE:
I fixed the Fanart-gallery, and even added a nifty Java-script to ease image-browsing :)

UPDATE:
I already have a few submissions, which I have uploaded to the Fanart-gallery (I think. The whole thing is being difficult right now).

Here's some news:
I'm having a little contest.

I need an image for a future update of Artist's Block. It's going to be a front-page of a new chapter.

I have created a lineart (which can be found here ---> Philosophy)
Whomsoever can create what I judge to be the best colouring of that lineart will win the following:
  • Permanent place on the front-page I'll create, complete with credits and a link to a site of the winner's choosing.
  • Permanent space in a "Credits"-section I'll be creating, in which will be listed everybody who contributes to Artist's Block in one way or another.
  • Permanent space in my Fanart-section
  • A single piece of art created by me, in full colour and inked. The winner gets to choose the motif, though it should be noted I cannot draw everything. Stay within the limits of reason :)
  • My eternal gratitude.
Yeah, okay. It's the world's most grandiose rewards, but given how I'm but a poor, poor artist struggling to get by, it's what I can do :)

The deadline is May 20st. Happy colouring!

Fabulous, darling!

Ah, is this not but marvellous unto thy eyes?
I am WAY ahead on the comic, I've had time to computer-ink a strip (it's only two panels, but still!) and I am not showing any signs of slowing much down.

I am thinking that if this goes on, I could shuffle the update-ratio to thrice per week. Maybe. Let's see how things pan out first. Scripting is still a problem. As is my still-limited artistic capability. The next story-arch is giving me some difficulties, because I can't draw quite as ambitiously as I can write. Common problem, I am guessing. Ah well.
